Andreas Lund appointed as consultant for Fimpec’s energy business

Andreas Lund, a Master of Science in Advanced Energy Solutions, will transfer to Fimpec from Granlund where he worked as a consultant on the regional energy consulting team. His experience in deep-heat wells and geothermal energy springs from his work involving new technologies, including projects, conceptualising and engineering.

“I was drawn to Fimpec due to the energy utility perspective and the front row seat it offers to the energy transition. Energy and consulting are growing business areas for Fimpec. I find it especially motivating to be able to make an impact and take on responsibility,” says Lund.

Motivated by growing energy business opportunities

Lund functions as Fimpec’s consultant and develops the energy business’s technical calculation and services for geothermal energy solutions. He brings with him special expertise in the energy industry, and he wishes to develop good business practices especially in project implementation.

“I bring to Fimpec advanced expertise in renewable energy, geothermal energy and power-to-x technologies. As a team, we can now offer new services in consulting and alternative energy sources. I also want to be involved in developing best practices for project implementation,” says Lund.

Lund is especially excited about the opportunities offered by growing energy consulting. He feels he is getting in on the transition from the outset, and being given responsibility and the opportunity to impact the creation of the environment.

“I have already had the chance to develop new energy solutions together with our customers. We have a great, cohesive team that enables innovative solutions. Our team has the potential to achieve almost anything,” Lund says.

He has solid experience in consulting, and his expertise and passion for new energy solutions will definitely be felt by our customers, which is a competitive advantage for us,” says Jussi-Pekka Kuivala, Director, Consulting and Process Engineering at Fimpec.

According to Lund, the atmosphere in the first weeks has been positive. He has been made part of the projects and tendering process from day one. In addition to work, Lund enjoys sports and is writing his doctoral thesis on optimizing power and heat sector coupling at Aalto University.
