During its 30 years of operation, Karibu has accumulated extensive experience in the field of mechanical, HVAC, and industrial technology engineering. In the last financial year, Karibu’s turnover amounted to €1M. The company employs eight people. Karibu’s range of services supplements that of CTS especially as regards demanding industrial HVAC engineering, strength calculations, and mechanical engineering. The acquisition of Karibu will also further strengthen CTS’s organisation in Jyväskylä, the development of which is among the Group’s primary objectives.

“Over its long history, Karibu has earned the customers’ trust as a professional player. Together, CTS and Karibu will be capable of meeting the needs of our customers in a more comprehensive manner,” says Antti Lukka, Managing Director of CTS Engtec Oy.

“After my long career as an entrepreneur, it was of prime importance for me to find a new owner offering seamless continuity for the employees and customers alike. CTS shared our visions regarding the development of Karibu’s business,” says Simo Saarinen, CEO of Karibu Oy.

The business will continue without interruption under the name of CTS Engtec Oy. Karibu’s office in Jyväskylä will become a regional office of CTS Engtec. The personnel gained from Karibu will continue in the service of CTS Engtec Oy as established employees.

Antti Lukka, Managing Director of the CTS Engtec Group, will continue as the company’s CEO. From now on, Tomi Vainio will manage the transferred business; the rest of the staff will continue in their present positions. Simo Saarinen, CEO of Karibu Oy, will support the business transferred and continue as an expert in customer orders.

The change in ownership will have no effect on operative activities or compliance with contractual obligations. CTS Engtec Oy will take care of project responsibilities and obligations in accordance with contracts and the persons responsible for projects will proceed with their work.
