Investments are taking off all over the world – Finland included. Growth is supported by the fact that demand for the products already exists, as the users of hydrogen and products processed from it, such as methane, methanol and ammonia, are looking for carbon-neutral options. Moreover, the end-uses and applications of green hydrogen and its downstream products are only set to increase in the energy transition.

The market therefore offers a multitude of opportunities, but also plenty of uncertainties. The industry as a whole is just starting to take shape, and the market is driven by new growth companies that are trying to find their place in the value chain and utilise their potential to the maximum. Herein lies the biggest challenge for most of them.
