Nina Berg to drive Green Transition sales at Fimpec

Master of Science (Tech.) Nina Berg has been appointed as Head of Green Transition at Fimpec Engineering Oy’s Energy Business Unit as of September 1, 2025.

In her role, Nina Berg will be responsible for new customer acquisition, customer relations, and project sales in the Nordic countries. She reports to Head of Energy Business Sami Nissinen, who states that Fimpec is aiming for significant growth in the energy sector in the coming years and is actively investing in green transition solutions as part of its sustainable development strategy.

The green transition business covers, among other things, solutions for hydrogen, biofuels, and energy efficiency, whose demand is growing strongly in line with the decarbonization goals of industry and society.

Nina brings to the position over 30 years of versatile experience in international procurement of industrial services and materials, as well as in project development at companies including Hercules Belgium, UPM, and ABB. She has also promoted the business environment for European companies in Hong Kong through the European Chamber of Commerce.

Nina joined Fimpec from Wärtsilä, where she worked as an expert in air emissions and decarbonization of engine power plants, assessing hydrogen and e-/biofuel production and utilization in various projects. Her responsibilities also included analyzing the environmental impacts of product and concept lifecycles as well as addressing customer sustainability and carbon footprint matters.

My home office is in Vaasa, from where I actively participate in customer meetings and trade fairs. Networking is important to me – for example, I have been part of the Finnish Hydrogen Cluster’s regulation working group since its foundation,” Nina says.

According to Sami Nissinen, the appointment of Nina Berg supports Fimpec’s strategic goal of being a forerunner in the implementation of the green transition.
