Luis Rudolphy and Panu Rahikka from Fimpec participated in the “From Words to Action – The Finnish Company’s Path to Ukraine” event organized by EastCham Finland and Miltton on April 9, 2025.

The reconstruction of Ukraine is ongoing, and once Russia’s war of aggression ends, it is expected to become the world’s largest construction site. In the coming decades, reconstruction efforts are estimated to require investments of 500 to 1,000 billion euros. Finland has a strong reputation as a supporter of Ukraine, and many Finnish companies are building their business operations in the country, aiming to secure a share of the reconstruction-driven market. Fimpec has been actively involved with Ukraine since 2023.

The event featured engaging presentations on the current situation in Ukraine and offered practical advice on how Finnish companies can enter the Ukrainian market. Companies shared their lessons and experiences from starting a business in Ukraine in the panel discussion “A Company’s Path to Ukraine” moderated by Miltton’s Kaius Niemi, where Panu Rahikka spoke about Fimpec’s experiences.

The spirit of the entire event was well captured by the words of Olena Kutsai, Head of EastCham and the Confederation of Finnish Industries’ Ukraine office: “Let’s do business right now.”
