Fimpec expands its service portfolio with the launch of Fimpec Advisors
Fimpec has introduced its own concept-based Advisors service, which brings together professionals operating as independent consultants and Fimpec’s clients. The service aims to create a win-win-win situation, benefiting all parties involved: clients, Advisors, and Fimpec.
Fimpec seeks to provide its clients with an even broader and deeper level of expertise while simultaneously offering top professionals who operate as independent entrepreneurs, opportunities for work and the chance to leverage their networks. From this foundation, Fimpec Advisors concept was developed, built on the idea of a two-way collaboration.
“Firstly, we can sell the expertise of these specialists in our own projects, where they act as our subcontractors. This way, we expand our own expertise and delivery capabilities. On the other hand, Advisors can serve as Fimpec’s ‘sales agents,’ selling our services to their own clients for a commission. If they wish, Advisors can also invoice their clients for the work they perform through Fimpec,” explains Panu Rahikka, Managing Director of Fimpec Consulting Oy, who is responsible for Fimpec Advisors operations.
Win-Win-Win concept
According to Rahikka, the foundation of Fimpec Advisors concept has been to build a model where both Advisors and Fimpec win, but especially the clients.
“From our clients’ perspective, Advisors add value by expanding and deepening Fimpec’s service portfolio. It wouldn’t make sense for us to hire experts in every field, so we build a network that we can utilize for the benefit of our clients. This means, for example, that we can assist our clients with legal issues,” he states.
In turn, Advisors’ clients can access Fimpec’s expertise and delivery capabilities when needed. The concept offers Advisors not only business opportunities but also a flexible professional network and sales and marketing channels. Collaborating with Fimpec does not restrict Advisors from undertaking projects for others.
“The goal is for the Advisors activity to be a profitable business for all parties involved. Clients receive a wider range of services and more added value, Advisors gain revenue, and Fimpec acquires new business. The Advisor network will continue to be developed to support Fimpec’s core businesses in the energy sector and process industries,” Rahikka adds.
Demand for the Advisors concept
Fimpec Advisors concept was driven by the desire to offer clients the opportunity to access the expert services they need extensively through Fimpec. Additionally, it anticipates changes occurring in the labor market.
“We believe that the labor market is evolving more towards independent contractors and project-based work. Many people, for example, want to continue their careers and utilize their skills after active working years, while still maintaining the freedom to choose the projects they work on. There are also many seasoned professionals still in the workforce who value the same flexibility, variety, and opportunity to work on interesting projects in a project-based format. Fimpec Advisors concept offers opportunities for these individuals,” Rahikka assesses.
