Fimpec has taken the next step on its path to internationalisation in Chile, where it has set up a subsidiary company called Fimpec Chile SpA. This will strengthen Fimpec’s position and business opportunities in Latin America. Fimpec already has a subsidiary in Uruguay under which the Chile subsidiary will operate.

The subsidiary, Fimpec Chile SpA, is located in the capital of Chile, Santiago, and currently employs two people, but this number will increase in spring 2021 to meet the needs of a project that is already under way. The subsidiary is managed by operations manager Timo-Pekka Aaltonen, who is responsible for installation management at Fimpec, and Marko Mäkimartti, CEO of Fimpec Uruguay S.A.

“The new subsidiary means that we can now provide the best service possible to customers in Chile and take care of our obligations in compliance with local laws and legislation. It also offers the opportunity to expand our operations in Chile and South America together with our subsidiary in Uruguay,” says Aaltonen.

Chile is one of the most developed countries in Latin America, and a natural expansion location for Fimpec, which has participated in major construction projects in Uruguay and Brazil ever since its establishment. The company is therefore familiar with the region and has experience operating there. The subsidiary Fimpec Uruguay S.A was set up in Montevideo in 2017.
