Fimpec and Nordic Ren-Gas Oy sign co-operation agreement on Power-to-X projects

The agreement covers technical consulting services for a feasibility study concerning green hydrogen and Power-to-X project development for Nordic Ren-Gas Oy’s first projects. Nordic Ren-Gas Oy is Finland’s leading developer of green nitrogen and clean gas fuels. The company has announced five major projects in 2022.

The collaboration between Fimpec and Nordic Ren-Gas Oy got off to a good start, with the work beginning immediately after the agreement was signed. A technical feasibility study has been carried out on the projects since April and will be completed by the end of June. The development phase of the projects announced by Nordic Ren-Gas Oy will begin in the autumn, once the feasibility study has been completed. The current projects are valued at more than 600 million euros and will significantly boost Finland’s production of clean gases. Nordic Ren-Gas Oy’s objective is to further develop the Power-to-X business, and the total investment in the planned projects in Finland will be more than 1.5 billion euros by 2030.
